Transfers!

Hey everyone, this week was kinda crazy! It was my last week in my first area, Italia Centro.. RIP... but now I´m in a new area called San Martin (Misiones, Posadas) it is so cool and way different than my first area. This place has red dirt, hills, and trees. So it's way different than what I ́m used to, but I know that it will be really good for me, and that God has prepared this place and the people for me and my companion. Before I actually came to this area, in my older area, I ran into a tree... I thought you might like to know that. The only tree in Formosa, and I happened to run into it. But I ́m fine, I just have a little mark not too noticeable, but I'll send a picture. My new companion ́s name is Hermana Rowlings and she is from Nebraska. She only has for months left in the mission, so this will probably end up being her last area, so I have no idea how long I will be here. My companion and I are both new to the area so we are going to have a fun time figuring ev...

Hot Then Cold!

Hey everyone! What's up? Hope you all had a good week. My week was really chill, not much happened. But, this week we had Multizona and it was really good. It was really nice to not have a headache after multizona because I actually understood everything and didn't have to focus really hard to understand, yay!!!! But ya, then the next day we had interviews with president, and he told me that I was finally going to leave my area! So after almost 6 months in my first area, I will finally be able to see more of my mission and get to meet new people. Other than that, we have just been meeting new people and teaching new people..... just doing the missionary work. It keeps getting hotter, then a little cold again, and then maybe next week it will be hot again. Hope you all have a good week and remember to always share the gospel with the people you know and love! Hermana Pollock

Feels like a Blow Dryer!

This week was actually really good!! It was a little stressful, but for all the good things that can pass in a mission. We had the wedding of one of our investigators who I have been teaching since my first transfer. So I've known her forever. All she has wanted was to be baptized for the longest time, but could not because her husband was married to someone else. It was really complicated, but she figured it all out, and she was able to get married, so we worked on all the papers and she was able to get married on Thursday!! It was a really good day! Then on Saturday, she got baptized with her son, her best friend, and the two daughters of her best friend! It was so good, but like always, something happens to make the day really hard and stressful, but because this is the Lords work, it always works out! But then Sunday the son of Olga, the lady who got married, did not want to go to church because it was to early and he was tired. So we had to try to get him there and he was co...

Pouring Rain

So this week was really good, but only because of General Conference! That was the best part of my week! I invite all of you to watch it if you haven´t watched it. This week has also been a little stressful with one of our investigators. It's a family of three, and we have been trying to help them prepare for baptism for a while now. They really want to be baptized, but don´t have a lot of time for us to come by and have the interview. They also don't have a lot of time to come to church because something always happens, so they can't come, which just reminds me that we are here doing the work of the Lord and Satan is here doing his on work... Which just makes me mad, but what can I do about that... anyways, it also rained a lot, and one thing is we can't enter into a house with a man who lives alone. So we sat outside of his house and talked to him, taught him, and it started to pour!, but we still talked and taught. We were probably outside in that lesson for an ho...

One year más!!!

Well, this week was kinda long for me. But we will start off with this one story. On Tuesday I was in divisions with the Hermana with the same time as me. We were contacting, and were talking to this lady, and she told us to sit down so we could talk. So we grabbed some chairs and started to talk to her. But the thing was, she wouldn't talk back to us. We know she knows how, because she talked a little. But she took the folleto that we were talking about, opened it up, and would point to the page. So then we would just explain that page. She did that with the whole folleto without saying a word. I was kinda just like, ok if you're not going to talk, I'm just going to testify to you about everything in this folleto. It was about the Plan of Salvation. At first in the lesson we couldn't really feel the Spirit, but by the end, it was so strong and we could see that something changed in her heart. So I said we could end with a prayer, she said yes and my companion fo...

Letter from Aliza

This week has been a little stressful because we had a lot of planing for some baptisms, which was really loco. We were planning on three this week, but two of them fell through. One the day before and another the day of the baptism. We were planning on Si o si two brothers, but then one of the brothers left with his grandma the night before the baptism and his mother didn't say anything, which is really hard because she wants them to get baptized, but she just lets them do what they want. But she told us that the other brother can be baptized the next Saturday si o si. So really hoping that he doesn't leave with his grandma again and that we can actually plan for his baptism. We are planning for the family this Saturday as well, but they have been a little busy this week which has been a little hard with teaching them and getting them to church. But all is good in Argentina, it's starting to get a lot warmer and right now I am in the hottest area in the mission, so I hope...

Trio This Week!

Image
This week was a little crazy. To start, I love my new companion, she is so awesome! We have so much fun together and it has been really nice being able to visit all my people with her. This week we were in a trio, so I haven't really had one week with just us. But the trio was really fun. We partied like all the time. But had lots of fun. Later this week on Saturday, we found out that one of the Hermanas had to go to the hospital to get surgery and so our Saturday morning was spent in the hospital with her and her companion, and chilling with the zone leaders while she was having the surgery. Then chilled with her during the siesta tiempo (12-4 we study during this time because the people are sleeping) then in the afternoon we went on divisiones and contacted in my area because we needed new people. Then went back to the hospital to switch companions, but this time I was with the companion of the Hermana in the hospital and we went back to our pension and she came to our churc...
