The Goodbye!
Hey everyone! So it's been awhile since I have been able to write and update what is going on. So what pretty much happened was on the 19th of March they put us in Cuarentena and we were supposed to have a baptism that Saturday, so we talked to the zone leaders and they said that if we are going to have a baptism Saturday we needed to have it that day, so we went and talked to Lorenzo to see if he was up to being baptized a couple of days earlier, and he said yes! It was really cool that we could help him still make this awesome choice in his life, even though it was crazy. This day, because we were in cuarentena, we weren't aloud to be out in our church/working clothes and without our tags, but we put the tags on for the picture so we didn't just look too weird. Just thought I should let you all know, if you already don't, that I am now home... because of everything that is happening in the world, they all decided that it is better that we just go home. I would love to tell you all about my adventure home. So we took a bus from my mission to the airport in Buenos Aires which was about a 26 hour bus drive, because we did a lot of going around the police. The whole country of Argentina is in cuarentena, so we had permission to travel. We had all the papers, but sometimes if we would get stopped, we would be stopped for a really long time. We finally got to Buenos Aires and started to go through everything to get on the plane. I got stopped at customs because I was illegal in Argentina because my tramites never went through, so I had to wait an hour to get cleared to leave and had to sign a paper that says that if I ever decide to come back to Argentina, I would have to pay a whole lot of money. (so looks like I'm never going back... :( ) We took a flight from Argentina to Utah which was another really long flight, but then around 10pm on Saturday I made home to Montana and got to see my family!
I just want to share my testimony with everyone about what I have learned in one of the best times of my life. I know that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ, that we are here to complete our purpose and return with our Heavenly Father. Find the everlasting joy in their lives. I know that just because I'm home, that my job to help others is not done. I am so happy that I decided to leave and serve my Savior and learn how to grow closer to him, learn how to listen to His voice in my life, and how to act on it. One major thing that I learned in my life was how important the Book of Mormon is in the lives of people and how it can help them change for the better. I have seen it in the lives of so many people and I have seen it in my own life. I remember my brother saying once that his mission felt like a dream, and at this moment I was just starting my mission so I thought that maybe he was a little crazy because mine felt like it was taking forever. But now I am in the same situation as him. It really did feel like a dream and I will never forget that dream or the people i have met. Love you all sooo much and thank you for all the support!!
