I Don't Love You Anymore

Image
This week was good. We had a baptism on Saturday and it was really good. The girl who we baptized is 14 years old and so funny! She has a little crush on our zone leader, but she actually had our district leader baptize her because he shared his testimony with her and it meant a lot. But wow she so funny! She used our phone to call our zone leader to tell him that he isn't going to baptize her (because he was supposed to) and this is exactly what she said, "I don't love you anymore" then told him that the other elder was going to baptize her. It was so funny. This week we have multizona, then the next day interviews with Presidente, then later that day we get to go to the stake center and watch the broadcast of President Nelson, who is going to be in Buenos Aires this Wednesday. So we will go and watch that. We are going to try to get Diamela, who is our new convert, to come with us. It will be so cool! This week will be really good and this past week was real...

The Name of the Church

This week was really good, I had another good day with that Hermana with the same time as me. I was a little nervous that if I had a good experience the first time, the second time would be hard, but definitely the Lord was helping me again! So that was a blessing from God. Also this week, we were at a house and all of a sudden this guy came up and started talking to me in English and asked if he could ask me a question. I was like ya, and it was a word that was not a good word... which I told him and he was like oh I'm so sorry forgive me. But ya, it was kinda weird and all, but at the same time really funny. That barrio is an intresting one. Anyway, other than that, not much happened. One thing that I really learned and started to appreciate this week was the name of the Church. I read the talk by President Nelson about the name of the church and that this is the church of Christ!! When we go and tell people about what church we are, we are taking the name of Christ upon us ...

Hola!

So this week was interesting, but at the same time not really. Not really because ALL of our chartlas fell through.... nobody was home! Even our backup chartlas fell through. So that was hard. But one funny thing was that when we went to go visit someone, we clapped, and about 5 seconds later we hear a "hola" so we looked around for the person, but there was nobody, we finally looked up and saw a parrot and it was just like "hola", we laughed so hard and we were like "hola como esta?" but ya, he only says hola. A little later a little girl looked out the door and we were like hola, and then she shut the door so ya that was sad but interesting. The other thing was that there were elections this Sunday for the president of Argentina. So Sunday was hard with getting people to come to church because they said they couldn't because of the elections... and that night everyone was drinking in their houses and were drunk in the streets. So we were just li...

We can do all things through Christ!

This week was a good week. The only thing that really happened was This Thursday I was on devisiones with another Hermana who has the same time as me in the mission. She is a gringa also. So, we are both learning Spanish and this was my first time with someone who isn´t really good at Spanish. I was literally praying alot right before we made the change because we changed Wednesday night. It was actually a really good day, I was the person who taught mostly and spoke mostly to the people we contacted, it was really weird doing a contact by myself and teach. It was actually really good because I was just really wanting to know if I would ever get the language down, but that day God was answering me and telling me to be patient with with myself, that it will come. So that was really good. That day I understood everyone enough to be able to respond and talk to them and answer their questions. It was a really good experience that I always try to remember when I am having a hard day with my...

Busy, Busy, Busy

So this week was really good. We had multizona, which I understood a lot more this time than the first time, so YAY! progress!! We had our interviews with the president the next day and that went well, but later that day my companion and I traveled down to Resistencia, then the next day I went to a different place for tramites, which is just the first step of me being legal in Argentina. It was fun, but it was kinda weird at times because I didnt have my companion and I went with two other Elders before we meet up with another Hermana. It was weird being the only Hermana. After that we had transfers. I am in the same area with the same compaion. So no change. But, I am finally out of my training, so that is weird, don't feel too ready yet, but I'm sure it will feel good. This Thursday my companion is going to Resistencia for a leader meeting with a diffrent Hermana here, and for one day I have to be with her companion who has the same time as me in the mission, so I am really...

Just Another Day In The Mission

Image
So this week went by really fast, like not really sure what really happened, but just lots of teaching. No more bloody noses so that's good. This coming week is my last week in training and not really sure if im ready to leave. But it should be for the best. It will definently help me grow as a teacher and in my spanish. This week we find out if I'm staying in my area and who my new companion will be, because I will probably not stay with my trainer... sad day. But, still alive and living every moment. One thing that did happen this week, was we were with a recently converted member, and he asked if I would say the prayer in English. I was like, Heck ya!! But it was a little harder then I thought. I kept saying Spanish words and sometimes I would stop and have to think about how to say the word in English, or what a phrase in English is to say in a prayer. So, at the same time of me feeling like I haven´t been progressing in my Spanish, this was the Lord showing me that I'...

Solo Uno Tiempo

This week was good. On Tuesday I got another nose bleed, and it was really bad, like the members we live with took us to an actual hospital. They took x-rays, and my blood, and my pressure just to tell me that it all looks fine and that I just have a fragile nose so that was great. But don't worry, because we were back out working that afternoon. Now the new joke for me and my companion is while my brother was dying from his mission (leaving the mission) I was actually dying. But, it's probably just God trying to help me stay distracted from all that stuff at home. Saturday we had a mini CCM, which is when all the youth come and have little name tags and get to be a missionary for one day. They learn and hear all the lessons that we teach and what being a missionary is like. Then for two hours they come and contact with us. It was good, but my group was full of 12 year olds and that was hard to control all of them. But it was fun to see how excited they were to talk to the peop...
