Elder Pollock

Hey everyone what's up!!! Well this week was a little weird, I kinda forgot where to start because I forgot for a while that I got to write Wednesday, so let's go over the past 4 days. Ok, so what happened on Thursday was really crazy!! We contacted this guy who is actually from Buenos Aires who came here like 6 months ago. He told us that he was being taught by missionaries in Buenos Aires and was preparing to get baptized, but then the elders got changed out and told him that two hermanas were going to stop by his house and help him keep preparing. Then right before he could meet the hermanas, he had to move here for his work. We were talking to him and he asked me if I had a brother with blue eyes also in Buenos Aires and I told him no all my family is in the United States. He told me that one of the names of the Elders who were teaching him was Elder Pollock and said it was written the exact same way. Which just was crazy for me!!! Like how cool is that! It really shows me that God has no coincidences and has everything planned out. But I know that for this man it is his second opportunity to make those covenants with God and I am here to help him!. It was so amazing. The other part of this week was us just working and then going to activities with our ward. They did a nativity and it was so cute with all the kids!!! They also did the same thing with the stake that all the missionaries in our zone who are in the city of Posadas came and we sang in the nativity show, so that was really fun as well. This week is kinda our last week of actually working for the transfer because, well, Friday we have multizona and then the next week is p-day, Christmas Eve, then CHRISTMAS, then the day after Christmas. Then the next week is the NEW YEAR!!!!!! But ya, I don't really know how they do all of that down here because this is my first Christmas here in the mission. (also my last ;) ) but I really hope that it's good! Well love you all sooo much and remember that God has a plan for you and that nothing is a coincidence! Everything is for a reason. Sometimes we just need to learn something and sometimes it's to have experience. Have a wonderful week and remember who you are!!! I didn't take very many pictures this week... like none. 1 Month until General Conference

Yay we had a baptism this week por fin!!!!!!! It was so good, the family came with 8/14 of their kids so that was good!!! and the kids were so happy to get baptized! We also had two of the young men who are 16 years old baptize them. It was really cute to see them have their first baptism. Other than that, like always, not much happened. We had a tranquila semana and for two days I was with a different hermana. We had a great time together and we made brownies which was my first time in the mission. They were so good!!!! Remember that we are one month away from general conference and so we have a little time to prepare!!!! But how awesome it is to learn more about Joseph Smith and his story and how important it is to know that through Joseph Smith, we have the church of Jesus Christ again on the earth and the chance to have the gospel in our lives and feel this happiness that it brings into our lives! Happy New Year ya'll!!!!!! This week was really good! Well, in some ways. First of all, New Years Day was just a chill day, we didn't do anything, just hung out with other missionaries and played games and watched movies. It was really fun! Other than that, there was only one other thing that really happened on Saturday, which was really kinda funny. So what happened is that this day was kinda hard for us because we didn't really feel very good, but we had so many people that yelled at us when we were in the street. Lots of members from other places, but the funniest one was when this drunk guy yelled at us and said "hermanas, when are you going to come and visit me?" and he crossed the street to come and talk to us, which we did, and he said that it was really hard to read our names and that they were in English so he didn't understand our names, but then he said that he wanted a book so we gave him a folleto and then he told us to give him one of our chu...

Transfers!

Hey everyone, this week was kinda crazy! It was my last week in my first area, Italia Centro.. RIP... but now I´m in a new area called San Martin (Misiones, Posadas) it is so cool and way different than my first area. This place has red dirt, hills, and trees. So it's way different than what I ́m used to, but I know that it will be really good for me, and that God has prepared this place and the people for me and my companion. Before I actually came to this area, in my older area, I ran into a tree... I thought you might like to know that. The only tree in Formosa, and I happened to run into it. But I ́m fine, I just have a little mark not too noticeable, but I'll send a picture. My new companion ́s name is Hermana Rowlings and she is from Nebraska. She only has for months left in the mission, so this will probably end up being her last area, so I have no idea how long I will be here.
