Find Your Light and Shine!
Ok so this week was A LOT better than last week, but it feels really weird that I am leaving on Monday!! So by Monday of next week I will finally be in Argentina and get to see what it is going to do to my hair. I promise I´ll send pictures. I feel like this week has only consisted of class and then eating and then more class and then maybe a meeting about when we leave on Monday and our flight information. Just a lot of packing this week and a lot of trying to make sure that everything is under the limit, which it was really hard because the carry on has to be under 17 pounds!! That´s like a toothbrush. (well not really but pretty much!!!) So that is the hard part about finding out how to make that really light and then also make my other suitcases under 50.
This week we had the opportunity to show around the new Latinos and get them to their casas and make sure that they are all good. I was really nervous at first, but once we had to actually talk to them it was fine, and I actually did kinda understand what they were trying to tell me so that was good. One funny thing that happened was that my companion got pooped on by a bird last Friday or Thursday. But I thought it was so funny because she was making fun of me for getting pooped on by a bird and I find that karma is real. Lol, but now she is on my team of hating birds. Before she loved them and was like, why do you not like them, they are so cute. I think that she spoke too soon. lol. One thing that I really liked from this week was yesterday at my STL meeting, we had to say something nice about the sister to the right of us. Mine was easy, because it was my companion, but the girl to my left was someone that I've never really talked to. I would see her around, but I actually talked to her for the first time that night right before the meeting. Anyways, I was kinda just sitting there like what is this girl going to say because we don´t know each other. So when she turned to me and she told me when the teacher was talking about all of this, she just thought about light. She told me that every time she would see me she said she can see the light I have and when I would talk in the little workshop classes we have, she could see the testimony that I have and she just said how much she loved the light I had and how much she knew I was here for the Lord. That really meant a lot to me because even before my mission and even sometimes on my mission I would wonder if I have that light that people are always talking about and if people could see it. To me the light is kinda just something that reminds me that I am doing what the Lord wants me to do and that He is proud of me. Her telling me that just let me know that I have that light and that God is pleased with my work, and I am where I am suppose to be. It was just a good reminder of when I decided to go on a mission and my story of my decision. Even though I don´t know why I was suppose to leave earlier then I planed the first time, it is all apart of Heavenly Fathers plan and that maybe someday I´ll find out that reason, but right now I just need to focus on what He has called me to do, and that is to bring His children back to Him and help them find the light that I have as well, and help them know that happiness can last even past death.
Hope you all have a great week and remember that I love you all and the Savior does too. Peace
also finally got the chip picture.....
