Girl from Montana vs Palm Tree
HOLA friends and family,
We had daylight savings here in Mexico and so now we are an hour ahead of you, which is kinda weird to think about. Even though when I finally get to Argentina I will be four hours ahead of you guys. My P-day was today and not yesterday because the Elders in our district that are staying in Mexico had to go to immigration so that kinda sucks that some of their P-day is gone. This week has been a lot better, I can feel the Spanish coming, soooooo slowly, but it's coming. I can feel the Lord help me when we do these practice teachings with our teachers. Each time we do it, I am able to contribute more, even though sometimes I read the thing I say from our Spanish book, but at lest I understood what they were saying to be able to know to say that. I feel so blessed to have such a good district here. The Elders are all so awesome and fun to be around and I find it so weird that I always seem to have someone from Wyoming in my life. Because an Elder from my district is from Wyoming and then My amazing roommate from college ;) was from Wyoming, so I always love having that in my life, to remind me of my family and friends that live there. My companion and I are getting along a lot better. We started to study together and actually open up about how we feel, we did good that day, and just lifted each other up. She is also understanding me more and encouraging me a lot more, so that has really helped me out. One funny thing that we did this week was that the Hermana's in my room and I all made a rap and we are going to video it tonight. But it's just all so funny and it really brought us together a lot more.
Let's also just talk about how AMAZING General Conference was!! I mean the whole CCM was shook when they didn´t announce anything about missionary work and the times missionary's would be serving, but we all got over it. But I can really say that they are trying to help us realize that the time is coming and how we really need to get our lives in order so when the second coming does happen, we are able to be in the place to return to our Father in Heaven. So I encourage you all to search for the truth and find that light you might be missing, and remember that we have been given the chance to live with Him again. So work your hardest to be able to live with our Father in Heaven, and don´t miss use the tools He has given you and that the gospel is only an arms length away. And that is why I am here, to be that arms length away for people who don´t know of the truth and are looking for it. So I can help them be able to live with our Heavenly Father. Work your hardest everyday and you will accomplish what you have been working for. Remember that God loves you so much, so He wants you to work as hard as he is to get you back to him.
Love you all and hope you have an amazing week. All is well in Mexico City, hope you enjoy the pictures of me. The palm trees are really big here, so I decided to hug one and so I ran up to it to hug it and I hit my head on the palm tree, and let me tell you it hurt! That palm tree was really hard and spiky, but it was worth it to get a picture of me hugging a palm tree. Also the one of me pointing to the flag is just the Argentina flag but you cant really see it. Also there is a picture that i really liked form last week at the visitors center at the temple.
Love,
Hermana Pollock
